My research focuses on describing how the composition of faunal communities varies in space and time, and elucidating the mechanisms driving observed distribution patterns. Although ultimately I am interested in understanding how biodiversity responds to anthropogenic drivers of change, I often use observations form natural systems to establish a framework within which to understand human effects on biodiversity. Amphibians and reptiles are the primary focus of my research efforts, and I have worked in a variety of tropical and temperate landscapes.
