General Information:
Friends of Tyson is a support group interested in furthering Tyson's goals and research and education mission. The Friends of Tyson distributes a newsletter, the "Tyson Tidbits," sponsors nature book discussions, and organizes volunteers to assist with weekend (one Saturday a month) gatehouse staffing.
As a Friend of Tyson, you receive a membership card giving you limited access to Tyson and its main paved roads, weekdays and one Saturday a month. You may view birds or other wildlife, take photographs, or walk the Art Christ Nature Trail. Please keep in mind that Tyson is a biological field station and that many sensitive research projects are in progress. If you have any questions about a particular instrument or area, please let us know. (contact information at bottom of page.)
