Bird-Banding at Tyson - Jan 4, 2001
Summary and Photos

Approximately 12 Friends of Tyson, volunteers, and staff members joined instructor Jane Walker for a very informative bird-banding session on Thursday, January 4th. It was a relatively warm day, and many wild birds (woodpeckers, titmice, and chickadees) were successfully trapped, banded, and released. Tyson Field Science offered this very special Bird-banding program for school groups (grades 5 through 12).
