St. Louis Chapter

Welcome to the St. Louis Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience

We exist to promote an understanding of neuroscience and to support neuroscientists in their research and public outreach. Membership includes nearly 350 students, staff, and faculty from universities and research institutes in the area of St. Louis, MO.

We participate in brain awareness activities in area schools and the St. Louis Science Center. We sponsor travel awards to national and international meetings and recognition awards to outstanding neuroscientists in the St. Louis area.

A mailing list is maintained by the St. Louis SFN Chapter to enhance communication between neuroscientists about upcoming seminars, events, and opportunities for travel and recognition awards. An archive of postings to the mailing list can be found at http://biology4.wustl.edu/archives/stl-sfn.html. Interested neuroscientists should register their email address to gain access to the archives and receive mailings. To send email to members of the STL-SFN list use the address stl-sfn@biology4.wustl.edu.

We are part of the Society for Neuroscience based in Washington DC.

For information on the St. Louis Area Brain Bee that is being held on January 23, 2011 please visit http://biology4.wustl.edu/SLABB.
