Undergraduate Research Assistant

Research Statement:

I am a fourth year undergraduate researcher in John Orrock’s lab. Currently, I am working towards my bachelors degrees in Environmental Studies and Ecology and Evolution at University of California, Santa Barbara. My research interests are broad but I have special interest in both restoration ecology and wildlife ecology.

Over the past year I have been working on two projects with the Orrock lab. One is a study on whether spatial variation in the level of herbivory by rodents plays role in the process of biological invasions in California grasslands. The other examines whether the snail Helix aspersa exhibits a preference for native or exotic grasses common to California grasslands.
