Nearly all organisms have a biological clock that keeps daily time. This circadian clock is normally synchronized to the light cycle, but keeps near 24-hour time even in the absence of environmental time cues. Our lab studies the cellular and molecular bases for circadian rhythms in behavior and physiology.
